My little studio room is finished and it seems that not only myself but everyone else at the S.P.A.C.E. Collective is getting into a routine of working after a full month of being open. I know I haven’t posted any final pictures for my out of town friends but it is hard to get pics in that tiny little space. However, I can point out some neat additions to my room….
I had searched and searched for something neat to add to the little window that looks into my studio space…
… and it was while rummaging through an architecture salvage place, picking through piles of shutters and doors, that I found not one but TWO matching shutters in perfect condition and – holy cats – they were the exact size of the little window that looks into my room.
The lovely lass who runs the collective is an artist who specializes in creative lighting fixtures. While she was out and about she picked up this amazing chandelier for my space. It is hard to see in the pic but it is covered in silver filigree and the bulbs are in the shape of flames. So fancy! But somehow strangely fitting for the room. Thanks Christy!
We are gearing up for Burlington’s biggest art event: Art Hop the weekend of September 11 and 12th. S.P.A.C.E. is located in the building with the Art Hop juried show and our doors will be open throughout the weekend. Please come in and say hello.
