My boyfriend’s sister Adrienne is a very clever and thrifty girl. When she started planning her wedding, she wanted it to be extraordinary – but in an unexpected way. She wanted to do it ALL under $200.
The wedding topper I made for her as a gift as well as how she accomplished a thrifty wedding in New York City is featured in The Rock N Roll Bride.
Adie does not share the same love of bloody bits and tragic figures as I do so I made sure the wedding topper fit her style – and most of all was inspired by the items she chose to incorporate into her wedding. In the same spirit of thriftiness and nostalgia – I used the remaining fabric from her dress for the dress on her doll.
Rock N Roll Bride as well as Offbeat Bride have great ideas and amazing photography to inspire you to be different and creative with your wedding. And if you are looking for something a little wild or crazy to sit atop your wedding cake – give me a shout. I wouldn’t mind trying my hand at it again. It was fun.
